TRAJAN'S COLUMN - All Scenes in Anaglyph 3D

CD CONTENT:
Anaglyph images(red/cyan) of the entire sequence of scenes situated on Trajan's Column (124 images of the column and 43 images taken inside the museum where the copy of the column is situated(Lapidarium Section)). A short description (pdf file) of the scenes written in the romanian language.

The Romanian National History Museum (MNIR) houses a copy of Trajan's Column, which was commissioned by the Romanian government in 1939, a monarchy at that time. This copy has major advantages being very similar to the original Column.The reinforced cement castings of the Column were stationed for a long period in the basement of the Vatican due to political and diplomatic issues of that period, Romania being behind the Iron Curtain. Finally, in 1967, the castings were brought in Bucharest and were stationed in the Romanian Communist Party Museum. Only 5 years later, in 1972, the copy of the Column was brought in a newly raised wing of the Museum of History (Lapidarium section). At this location were the stereoscopic images taken.

Viewing these stereoscopic images you can admire exceptional objects like the Poiana Cotofenesti Helmet, the Rhyton from Poroina, period pieces that are part of the "Pietroasa" Treasure - known as the popular "The golden brood-hen and chickens", or photographs of Queen Mary's crown. Along with them you will find many other objects that are representative for the Romanian National Heritage.

Viewing these stereoscopic images you can admire items of great value such as maquettes of the "Pacific" locomotive, the "Calugareni" locomotive, or platform watches, "Morse" installations, as well as maquettes of various types of carriages and locomotives that were used over time on the Romanian Railway network. Along with them you could find many other objects representing the Railway History in Romania.
